Why This Matters
Making equity a clear priority can help state and local agencies acknowledge and eliminate systemic inequities that impact children and families. Examples of this work includes establishing specific goals and using intentional strategies to address organizational barriers and disparities in early childhood outcomes and opportunities. Agencies can learn from each other and hold one another accountable in these efforts.
