Kaylan Sloane
Kaylan is the Finance and Operational Manager for the NC Early Childhood Foundation (NCECF). She began her focus in supporting children’s early years as a kindergarten teacher with Americorps, then moved to teaching infants and preschoolers in child care centers. Before joining NCECF, she provided administrative and fiscal support to First 5 Mono County, a state-funded organization that provides direct support to children ages birth to age 5, their families, and child care providers, in Mono County, CA.
Kaylan grew up in rural New Hill, NC, and attended Appalachian State University, as well as Cerro Coso and Foothill colleges in California. Kaylan holds degrees in Early Childhood Development and Accounting, as well as a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Duke University. She started at NCECF in 2019 after returning to North Carolina from the Eastern Sierras of California.
