The mission of the North Carolina Family Resource Center Network is to ensure positive outcomes for all NC children and families by developing, expanding, aligning, sustaining, and ensuring equitable access to centralized, high-quality, community-based family support programs, services, and resources.

Racial Equity Lens
  • We are intentionally seeking the wisdom of Community Members to base decisions on how to improve outcomes and reach all families across North Carolina. We currently are working with two Family Consultants with Lived Experience on how to expand our reach across North Carolina. We are also working with our Advisory Board on creating both a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Work Group & a Community Member (Parent, Caregiver, Youth, etc.) Integration Work Group within the Network.
Impact
  • We are just beginning this initiative and worked with local Family Resource Centers, Family Consultants and Supportive Partners to create the mission, vision, benefits, and activities of the network. More information to come.
Next Steps
  • Promoting and gaining members for the Network.
  • Steering Committee will be working on developing Workgroups for the Network- including DEI, Evaluation, Funding/Advocacy, Workforce Development, and Community Member Integration
