Developing or Improving MOUs: Head Start and Public Schools Statewide Meetings
The Public Schools of North Carolina, the Head Start State Collaboration Office and national partner EducationCounsel hosted two regional meetings for local Head Start grantees and school district personnel on how to develop or improve the MOUs between the two organizations that are required by the Head Start Act and the Every Student Succeeds Act. In Shelby on 11/19 (at Cleveland County Schools) and in Wilson in 11/20 (at Wilson Community College), attendees:
- Participated in a team-building exercise
- Learned about the MOU requirements in both Acts
- Brainstormed the components of their MOUs
- Worked in district teams on creating or improving their MOUs
