Crystal Folmar

Project Coordinator

Crystal is excited to have the opportunity to support NCECF’s vital work supporting children across the state as Project Coordinator.  She believes that the key to achieving a more equitable future begins with expanding access to quality education for all.

Crystal began her career serving in AmeriCorps VISTA in Durham and later in the nation-wide government education initiative, Colombia-Bilingüe. Since then she has had the privilege of working in various roles in the education and nonprofit sectors in both Colombia and the US. She speaks Spanish and Portuguese and enjoys sharing her passion for the arts, literature, and language learning with others.

Crystal is proud to call Durham her home; she is originally from Pennsylvania and holds a BA in Communication from Edinboro University and an MPA in Nonprofit Management from the University of Pittsburgh.
