In line with our mission to be collaborative partners that advance policies and build understanding around the intersectional issues impacting early childhood in North Carolina, we do a quarterly roundup of early childhood related career opportunities. This blog will be updated as we’re aware of NC opportunities posted and available from October to December 2023.

Opportunity with our Team at NC Early Childhood Foundation:

The NC Early Childhood Foundation (NCECF) is a ten-year-old organization dedicated to building a foundation of equitable opportunity and success for every child by the end of third grade. NCECF does not have any current openings on the team.

Career Openings with our Partners in Early Childhood 

The Black Child Development Institute-Charlotte (BCDI-Charlotte) Affiliate was established to utilize volunteers at the grassroots level to implement programs, engage in advocacy and provide services that improve the quality of life for children and families within the Charlotte community. BCDI-Charlotte is seeking an Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support for the Executive Director. This position will support various main office functions including preparing correspondence, answering phones, monitoring office inventory and ordering supplies, maintaining calendars, and various other assignments as needed. The Center for Child & Family Health (CCFH) uniquely integrates community-based practice and academic excellence, and our professionals utilize multidisciplinary measurable approaches for professional training and research related to child traumatic stress. CCFH is also committed to being an inclusive, equitable, and transformative place for employees and the communities they serve. The Center is hiring for multiple positions, including Development Associate, Accounting & Procurement Specialist, Mental Health Clinicians, Mental Health Clinic Business Manager, and more.

Child Care Services Association (CCSA) improves the quality of child care in North Carolina for all children by helping families find child care, offering informational events for families, professional development opportunities and programs for providers and comprehensive child care research for policymakers. CCSA has a handful of job listings posted, including Quality Enhancement Coach, Communications and Public Engagement Coordinator, Child Care Consumer Education and Referral Specialist, and more. 

The Down East Partnership for Children (DEPC) of Nash and Edgecombe Counties is a non-profit organization located in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. DEPC is “Committed to Launching Every Child as a Healthy, Lifelong Learner by the End of the Third Grade” and seeks a Budget and Contracts Manager to perform the accounting and reporting function for the Partnership, including performing technical accounting tasks, performing general ledger analysis and reconciliation, and preparing financial reports. DEPC is also seeking an Accounting Specialist, Subsidy Program Manager, Birth to Three Specialist, and Family Resource Center After Hours Specialist.
