10 YEARS North Carolina Early Childhood Foundation - Est. 2013

Just as we are preparing to celebrate our organization’s ten-year anniversary, with a new logo to start us off, we are excited to share that we have also begun developing a new three-year strategic plan.

We would like to invite your input. We want to engage a broad range of stakeholders in this process. Our previous strategic plans have been extremely valuable in helping North Carolina Early Childhood Foundation (NCECF) to prioritize its activities and to be responsive to the needs of families and children in North Carolina.

A Changing State for Early Childhood

Given the ever-changing statewide and local contexts in which we operate, it is important that we regularly review and update our policy priorities and strategies. In order for NCECF to continue to play a leading role in advancing a strong prenatal through end of third grade ecosystem, and to remain an important contributor to evidence-based policy, we must build on our strengths, become aware of and address weaknesses, and take advantage of ever changing opportunities.

We are beginning this process with a brief ten-minute survey to get your insight and input into where NCECF can have the greatest impact in advancing the wellbeing of children and families. We will also conduct focus groups and individual interviews as we delve deeper into the process.

We want to know your thoughts regarding the policy areas that NCECF should invest its resources in over the next three years, and opportunities for advancing racial and ethnic equity. The survey will also give you the opportunity to tell us how we can support the work that you and your organization are doing to create a North Carolina where all children and families can thrive.

The NC Early Childhood Foundation is driven by a bold – and achievable – vision: Each North Carolina child has a strong foundation for life-long health, education, and well-being supported by a comprehensive, equitable birth-to-eight ecosystem. We build understanding, lead collaboration, and advance policies to ensure each North Carolina child is on track for lifelong success by the end of third grade.
