In the following NCECF 2022 impact report, Launching NC Early Childhood Focused Guides and Resources to Empower Families, Communities and Businesses for Success, you will learn about how launching so much of our work for implementation was an important theme.
The pandemic years had many in the early childhood ecosystem terrains feeling responsive to crises. How could we lend our strengths to best mend the holes in the proverbial buckets?
As we ushered in 2022, and the implementation of one of the biggest scientific marvels of our time – vaccinations available to our entire population – young children included, and enough federal funding to temporarily stave off the crises, we set our sights on implementing big ideas that began in pre-pandemic years.
For children and families, the benefits of family-friendly workplaces are numerous and long-lasting. They include positive impacts on health, development and well-being, financial stability, and future career success.
In this report, we share more about how we’re making big ideas become realities through:
- Family Forward NC Guide to Family Forward Workplace and Employer Family-Friendly Certification Launch,
- Pathways to Grade-Level Reading Sharing Data, Stories and Initiatives Doing the Work Through the Launch of the Action Map, More Inclusive Data Advisory Council Meetings, and All Encompassing Data Dashboard, and
- More variety in measuring our work by the numbers.
We are grateful for our generous donors, the hard work of our team, the guidance of our board, and the progress we continue to make as our efforts take off and our team grows.
Our vision remains that each North Carolina child has a strong foundation for life-long health, education, and well-being supported by a comprehensive, equitable birth-to-eight ecosystem.
