Opportunity with our Team at NC Early Childhood Foundation:

NC Early Childhood Foundation has an opening for a Strategic Planner. NCECF is a ten-year-old organization dedicated to building a foundation of equitable opportunity and success for every child by the end of third grade. NCECF seeks a talented contractor to engage NCECF’s Board of Directors, staff, and, as appropriate, key partners, in a strategic plan, since the current plan expires in December 2023.

  • NCECF’s goal is to complete the strategic and business planning process in a three-month period – by August 2023. Please include a detailed timeline with the proposal.
  • We are accepting proposals through February 10, 2023, at 5:00 PM EST.

NC Child is in search of their next Parent Engagement Manager (Bilingual)! The Parent Engagement Manager is a detail-oriented project manager who excels at managing calendars, meeting details, tracking information, and organizing bilingual events, with a very personalized approach. Their goal is to help parents – the true experts on their children’s health care – become powerful advocates for policy change. They are comfortable speaking both English and Spanish at work.     Youth Engagement Intern. The Youth Organizing Intern is an innovative and strategic community organizer interested in youth leadership development, power building, and advocacy. The Youth Organizing Intern will play a critical role in helping to reestablish NC Child’s Youth Advocacy Council, which serves as the youth voice for our agency. Deadline to apply is March 12, 2023.   • Chatham County Partnership for Children (Pittsboro, NC) seeks an Early Childhood Programs Manager to provide oversight and direct support/coordination of program services to ensure compliance and program monitoring. This role manages on-site technical assistance in approved and potential NC Pre-K classrooms and coordinates with state and local agencies associated with the program. The Manager serves as primary program contact and liaison with DCDEE for the NC Pre-K program in Chatham County. The Manager serves as lead staff to the Planning and Evaluation Committee and as liaison to the Smart Start Program Officer of the NC Partnership for Children for reporting, planning, and contracting. The Manager will have lead responsibility for contracting and contract monitoring, including both the programmatic and fiscal monitoring annual site visits. The target hiring salary for this position is $45,000. The Partnership offers a robust benefits program, including the potential for a salary increase after the initial 6-month probationary period. WCSS is seeking a Communications & Development Coordinator to support donor stewardship, execute community and fundraising events, and advance our marketing strategy. The Communications & Development Coordinator will raise community awareness and support for WCSS’ vision of preparing children ages 0-5 for success in school and life.   • The Center for Child and Family Health (CCFH), a leader in treatment and prevention programs addressing abuse, neglect and other childhood traumas, seeks a Director of Development and two full-time positions — Program Manager and Improvement Advisor and Senior Leader — on the training teams. Affiliated with Duke, North Carolina Central University, and the University of North Carolina, CCFH works towards a vision that “every child has the right to be loved, nurtured and safe.”

    The Director of Development will bring expertise in the planning and implementation of a multi-faceted development effort and will relish the charge of meeting or exceeding CCFH’s goal of raising $500,000 annually in unrestricted private funds. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, but also the resourcefulness and vision to build and lead the agency’s efforts into the future.
