Communities across North Carolina are invited to apply for a Think Babies™ NC Leadership Community Micro-Grant to increase education and awareness among the public and policymakers of the proposed policies and strategies in the Prenatal-to-3 Policy Roadmap. The goal of the micro-grant is to build upon what so many communities are already doing: convening on behalf of young children, engaging with community members and families, and interacting with elected officials.
Each community selected will:
- Form a team of prenatal-to-age-three stakeholders that must include underrepresented populations, such as parents of young children, Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC)-led organizations, early childhood educators, and other community members.
- Attend two virtual information sessions on the Prenatal-to-3 Policy Roadmap and select an area(s) of particular interest to focus on in their conversations with policymakers.
- Host one to three events to connect with policymakers about the selected issues.
Micro-grants will be issued in the amount of $5,000 – $10,000 dollars.
