Muffy Grant Responds to Senator Burr on Child Care and Preschool

In July, Senator Richard Burr of North Carolina released an op-ed about the state of child care and early education in the United States, in response to the Biden-Harris administration’s American Families Plan (AFP). Muffy Grant of NC Early Childhood Foundation wrote a letter to the editor in the Raleigh News & Observer about how Burr “has been instrumental in expanding the reach of programs like Head Start and Early Head Start.” Grant also said how the American Families Plan “prioritizes the goals the Senator’s article detailed: to reach more children with quality early learning opportunities, with an emphasis on parent choice and state leadership.” A link to Grant’s letter to the editor can be found here.
