Smart investments in children’s early years produce the best results in education, health and economic well-being for North Carolina. Together, we can ensure that our future leaders have the skills required to tackle the challenges and act on the opportunities of tomorrow.
This year we’ve seen rapid change and crisis triage – from the pandemic to a widespread awakening for social justice to a contentious election cycle. Here at NCECF, we see these challenges as routes to breakthrough strategies in early childhood policies and programs. That’s the stuff we are made of – from the Pathways to Grade-Level Reading initiative to Family Forward NC, we apply data, research, and families’ lived experiences to build a common understanding of issues toward consensus-led solutions.
This is also a time of reckoning and of hope for racial justice. We are working, all of us together, to move our early childhood system towards equity, using the needs of the community as our guide and North Star toward better outcomes for young children and their families in North Carolina.
We recognize that you may have dug deep and stretched to respond to the many critical needs in our community and beyond in the face of a once in a century pandemic. We humbly ask you to consider an investment in our work as we respond to the significant disruption that will serve as a catalyst for transformative changes to the early childhood development ecosystem. We need your help to harness what is possible in this moment in time.
A lot can happen in less than a year, and we are nimble enough to adjust to meet the needs of the early childhood development community. As we continue to grow, we invite you to partner with us to create a brighter future for our young children and their families. Please support us in supporting young children.
