The 2010 Census missed over 45,000 North Carolina residents. That undercount resulted in billions of dollars in lost revenue to our communities and the loss of a seat in Congress. Reaching “hard-to-count” populations in 2020 is critical to North Carolina’s communities. Latino families and young children are among the hardest populations to count, according to the US Census Bureau.
Tune in for a free one-hour webinar from our partner NC Child and the NALEO Education Fund about activities in NC aiming to ensure an accurate Census count in 2020. Elected officials, faith leaders, and educators are key messengers.
