The North Carolina Early Childhood Foundation (NCECF) is extending the deadline for two RFPs for local communities to collect stakeholder input to inform both the final B-5 strategic plan that NC is writing for the federal Preschool Development Grant (PDG) and implementation of the Pathways Action Framework. Pathways would like to partner with communities across NC to make sure all voices are heard at the state level. Community and family groups now have until May 24 to submit their proposals.
- RFP 1: Early Childhood Professionals Input – Up to 14 local Smart Start Partnerships will be selected to facilitate a meeting to collect input from early childhood professionals on the state’s B-5 Strategic Plan and how to move it forward in NC.
- Please note: The 10 local Smart Start Partnerships selected to participate in the Strengthening Family Engagement and Leadership Project do not need to apply because this work will be included within that project.
- We encourage the other 65 Local Smart Start Partnerships to consider this opportunity.
- RFP 2: Family Input – Up to 14 local family service organizations or informal parent-led or family-led groups will be selected to gather input from families on North Carolina’s Birth to Age Five (B-5) strategic plan, barriers and priorities.
For consideration, proposals must be submitted COB on May 24th to Anna Yonk at anna.yonk@compasseval.com.
The application process is designed to be quick and easy. If applicants have questions or concerns about meeting the requirements of the grant, please reach out to Kate Irish, 919-491-9218, kirish77@gmail.
