Think Babies™ NC Advocacy Day on April 9

The North Carolina Early Education Coalition is hosting a Think Babies™ NC legislative advocacy day on April 9, from 10 am to 1 pm, during the Week of the Young Child. Babies and toddlers, family members, early educators and early childhood advocates will gather at Halifax Mall at the NC General Assembly in Raleigh for:

  • Remarks from state and national leaders, parents, and early education providers
  • Storytime with legislators
  • Family-friendly activities
  • Meetings with legislators

The Coalition is inviting registrants to indicate on the registration form if they are in need of a travel stipend to attend, and they will accommodate as many requests as possible.

Think Babies™ NC, funded by the Pritzker Children’s Initiative and Zero To Three, aims to improve outcomes for North Carolina’s babies and toddlers by advancing policies that support their healthy development, families and communities, and early learning. Think Babies™ NC is aligned with the NC Pathways to Grade-Level Reading initiative and the NC Early Childhood Action Plan. Think Babies™ NC is led by the NC Early Education Coalition with support from the NC Early Childhood Foundation and a Leadership Team of state and local organizations focused on advancing public awareness and policy solutions for infants, toddlers, and their families.
